Mme Rosie

Experimental silkscreen prints exploring my cockatiel, Mme Rosie's personality. The stencil's iconography explores Rosie's favourite foods, such as bread, cilantro and shelled seeds, while ink colours reflect her liking for bright, saturated coloured toys and fabrics.

I made two different depictions of Rosie–one in an upright position and another in a more relaxed, preening pose–to show different sides to her dynamic personality. By experimenting with the combinations and orientation of stencils and various colour palettes, I created an array of different perspectives of Rosie, be it a representation of her diet, her dreams or her sentiment towards food.
